Conductors come in different types. Even though different countries apply different standards, all follow the same classification code to identify which group the cables belong to. For instance class 2 conductors are commonly used for power cables. Class 5 or 6 are used in environments where extreme flexibility is required, e.g. 90 degree bends. Class 2 conductors on the other hand are subject to a certain minimum bending radius that is proportional to the outer diameter of the complete cable itself.
